Founder and President Jim Webb launched Satellites Unlimited to provide contract earth station installations for the residential marketplace in 1978. Under Webb’s leadership, the company quickly expanded into specializations in various telecommunications technologies including coaxial cable, microwave, MMDS, and fibre optics, among many more.
LEADERSHIP FOOTPRINT
Through sound strategic planning and leadership, Webb has broadened the company’s service offerings and refined service delivery models to source and negotiate lucrative relationships with key clients including Rogers Communications, Woodbine Entertainment, Bell Canada, and Cogeco.
In the years since its foundation, Satellites Unlimited has reached many more high-profile customers in the cable television, broadcasting, satellite service providers, motion picture theatres, and off-track betting services, establishing a leadership position in the Canadian marketplace for these technologies.
JIM WEBB’S EXPERTISE
Webb leverages degree studies as an Electronic Technician from the DeVry Institute reinforced by considerable technical experience with telecommunications leaders including Bell, Howell, Scientific Atlanta, and Comlink Systems where he advanced to head of the home satellite division.
